We?re conducting a beer tasting with beers that have a saltwater fishing theme, selecting beer singles from Total Wine & More in North Miami Beach to make up a mix and match six-pack. For this first installment we tried Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA (India Pale Ale) even though we weren?t looking to catch a dogfish, and Heavy Seas Mutiny Fleet 2010 Below Decks, even though the seas weren?t heavy and no one was looking to mutiny. We will be rating the beer and also giving style points for bottle caps and labels, with five fish being the best.

Nice enough artwork but no description of product. A brief description would really help the uninitiated.

First sip tasted of apple cider, clean, smooth, not bitter, very agreeable, would drink this again.

This was our first experience with barleywine. We found this to be sweet, malty, heavy, earthy, put us in good spirits, no headache, seems like it might be interesting to cook with.
