| could he be the ROR Heart Throb? |
We're big fans of the charity RoR (Retraining of Racehorses), so we were really pleased when they told us about their Heart Awards which celebrate all the qualities that a racehorse can provide once his or her race days are over.
We've got so many members with fabulous ex-racehorses whose stories have been shared and enjoyed in our re-homing racehorses group that we're hoping at least one of you may scoop one of the prizes!
So enter into one or as many of these categories that you'd like your horse to have a crack at:
- RoR Biggest Heart Award- To recognize a horse that has shown unrivalled loyalty and affection and is just great to know and love.
- RoR Heart Throb- Simply, the award for the best looking horse.
- RoR Heart Stopper-To recognize a horse that has shown great courage, against all the odds.
- RoR Healthy Heart-for the best all rounder, who has adapted to many disciplines and challenges.
Don't worry if your horse isn't already registered with RoR-it's still possible to do so, but don't hang about on the start line as there are only two weeks left to enter (closing date June 1st)
On June 8th-the Heart Awards short list will be put on the RoR facebook page and the winner will be chosen by an online poll. So, let us know if you've entered via our re-homing racehorses group and tell us why you think your horse, if he's shortlisted, should get Trot ON member's votes.
